Arm strangling, learn to sew

The nightgown looks just like the picture and is soft. I went up a size and glad I did. Everything fits fine, except for the arms. Feels like the nightgown wants to strangle my arms, definitely not made chubby arm friendly. Also, I found a hole in the seam on the side after the first wash.
