I wear a size 7 1/2 so I purchased a size 8. No way can I fit my foot in the boot with thick winter socks. Its that close in fit. However, the boots keep my feet warm and dry with athletic socks. Easy on and off. I'm stepping in a basin of water to help release the mud in the deep treads. Not a complaint. The treads have been stable with no slipping on both mud and some snow and ice.
