Warranty information
Huffy Sports Company warrants your product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the period of time indicated for your particular product from the date of purchase (herein the "warranty period"). This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the product and is not transferable. If a Huffy Sports product fails because of a defect in material and workmanship during the warranty period, the original purchaser may, within the warranty period, return the defective product with proof of purchase to Huffy Sports (at the original purchaser's expense) at the address indicated below. If the product is defective in material and workmanship, Huffy Sports will repalce the product, or whatever parts of the product were defective. No assembly labor is included. IN ALL EVENTS, HUFFY SPORTS' LIABILITY SHALL BE LIMITED TO, AND CUSTOMER'S SOLE REMEDY SHALL BE, THE REPLACEMENT OF THE DEFECTIVE PRODUCT OR PART. HUFFY SPORTS SHALL NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, ORDINARY, EXEMPLARY, CONSEQUENTIAL OR OTHERWISE ARISING OUT OF THE TRANSACTIONS CONTEMPLATED HEREUNDER. THIS DISCLAIMER APPLIES TO THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE AND ALL OTHER PERSONS AS WELL. SOME STATES AND COUNTRIES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. OTHER THAN SUCH LIMITED WARRANTY AND THOSE IMPLIED WARRANTIES THAT ARE RQUIRED BY STATE OR COUNTRY LAWS. THE DURATION OF THOSE IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARE HEREBY LIMITED TO THE APPLICABLE WRITTEN LMITED WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN. SOME STATES OR COUNTRIES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. Further warranty limitations and exclusions: This warranty does not apply and Huffy Sports assumes no responsibility for any damages or defects that may be due to any one or more of the following: 1) Damage caused by normal wear and tear, negligence, misuse, abuse, non-basketball activities, hanging from rim, vandalism, acts of nature, improper handling or installation or failure to follow maintenance guidelines or instructions in the product owners manual. This warranty also is void if the product is modified. All products are intended for home recreational use only. 2) Scratching, scuffing or fractures to the unit that may result from normal recreational usage. 3) Rusting, deterioration, damage, discoloration, fading or fractures to the unit due to severe weather conditions including but not limited to tornadoes, hail, floods, or hurricanes. 4) Discoloration due to exposure to chemicals and/or salt spray either directly or in the atmosphere. To the extent that the warranty exclusions are not permitted by some state or country laws, these limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state or country to country. Backboards: Steel Framed Acrylic 5 years. Composite 5 years. Poles/bases/rims/hardware (nets excluded) 1 year.
