[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this not too long ago, for my small firewood business. It works great to get all the littler branches off a log before it gets cut into rounds. The stuff that can throw a chain, which can be dangerous. The stuff that a chainsaw is just a bit unnecessary to use for. It's pretty useful.

Great for clearing small brush and getting into low places where a small axe is likely to get buggered and banged up, or a machete isn't a match. Good one- and two-handed swing. Have used on large swaths of poison oak and other intertwined or dense brush where clearing at the base or near ground level is a must. The protected blade protected from ground or rock strikes. The blade is also reversed (once the technique to remove blade) and sharpened. Does benefit from some out-of-the-box sharpening. Good steel that's easy to maintain and resharpen.
