Great if my item was 3/4 inch shorter in height.

It would have been perfect, but the article I wanted to store in it was 3/4 inches taller. So it does fit. I tried to use the second bottom for a top, but can't figure out how to connect the two bottoms together. I'm looking for something like a clamp. Open for suggestions. Unless company make the same box, but just a little higher. 6 inches would do it.

Good, Sturdy, Long Lasting Box

I use these boxes as a litter box for my Pomeranian. The size is just right and its durable to hold up to being filled and emptied with a wee wee pad and pine pellets every week. I just bought these because the one I used for 4 years finally cracked at the handle. I remove the wheels, but if your going to store these under the bed, they are a plus. They move effortlessly, even on carpet.

I had been looking for underbed storage for a while. From floor to under boxspring is 7". Many underbed strorage bins were 7" tall and wouldn't work. These are perfect and hold a lot for the size they are.
