Great learning bike!!

We bought this bike for our 5 year old after numerous failed attempts to ride a pedal bike first, with and without training wheels. She was getting upset with the learning process, didn't want training wheels anymore, but was also scared of trying her pedal bike without training wheels due to a couple of falls. My 2 year old has the smaller balance bike and she didn't seem to mind playing around on it, so we decided that we would buy her this one to help with the learning process. The Result? Amazing!! She only rode the balance bike 7 times and then got on her pedal bike and took off without fear and without training wheels! Worth every penny to give my daughter such a good experience with learning to ride her bike.

Awesome Bike!

I bought this bike for my 6 year old daughter with autism. I do not regret this purchase at all. She has does amazingly well learning to balance and caught on very quickly. The bike itself is so sturdy and very high quality. It's a real bike unlike the kids bikes you buy at big box stores. I wish this model could convert to a pedal bike but for now we are totally happy with it being a balance it. Worth every penny!

Great bike for son with Down syndrome

We bought this bike for our 12 year old son who has Down syndrome. He has developed great balance having used balance bikes since he was very young, however needed a larger size and hand brakes. This bike is helping him to keep up his ability to balance on a two wheeler, while teaching him how to stop safety on his own using the hand brakes. We think he will be able to safely ride a bike with peddles when he outgrows this one! Thank you, Strider company for making larger sized balance bikes. This means a lot to us, and a lot to our son.
