Purchased few days ago. Excellent choice, fits well, comfortable. My 8 year old told me so. He is small 48-50 " tall & length is perfect. If your child is taller, then I'd say get medium. He is also thin, so waist fits well also.

These pants are great...I just wish the material for the pockets matched the material of the pants. (The pockets are white in all of the pants--which is noticeable!) Otherwise, great sweats--they wash up well, don't fade, etc.
