Holds fluid in with no leaks. I'm currently using for bladder leaks and I am loving the fact that I don't have to worry about wearing pads anymore. An added bonus is it draws away sweat very well. I am very comfortable when I have to spend long days at the softball parks. Word of advice though, if you are bid in the belly or thighs order one size up, they fit very snug
