Slavery

One of the best books i have found about the Civil War. It has great pictures and a time line is provided. In the section where pictures are not present the writing keeps you interested enough to continue reading then when you turn the page a picture is there helping things become a little more real. This book sets the tone of the war. It's pictures are black and white. When these photos were taken color photos were not around. Some of these pictures are worth more because of being black and white. The main thrust of the way was slavery. This book tells stories from both sides. It is an easy read. I would caution you not to use this book as a bed time story, there is way to much to understand. It should be labeled 13 There is no problem as to why you should avoid reading to younger kids. However, the main reason is the child of 13 might have trouble understanding. They might ask questions that you might not be ready for. Great job.
