Our Tri-Color Penne is made from the finest durum wheat and is non-GMO verified, peanut-free and suitable for a vegan or vegetarian diet. Penne means "pen" in Italian, and is a shape inspired by the quill of an old style ink pen. Our Tri-Color Penne pasta has ridges ("rigati") make it ideal for holding the sauce it is paired with, inside and out.

Instructions

1. Bring 4-6 quarts of water to a boil, add salt to taste. 2. Add pasta to boiling water. Stir gently. 3. Return to a boil. For authentic "al dente" pasta, boil uncovered, stirring occasionally for 10 minutes. For more tender pasta, boil for an additional 1 minute. 4. Remove from heat. Drain well. 5. Serve immediately with your favorite Barilla sauce.
