works great and easy set up

I've been looking for a "doorbell chime" for my Nest battery powered doorbell, because when you set up the doorbell on your phone, it doesn't actually "ring" on your phone unless it's set it's set up buy wire...it just makes a sound to let you know that someone rang the doorbell. I needed to hear an actual "ring" for my sake! For some reason, as soon as I plugged it in to charge, it started babbling in another language, I think Chinese! This is the 2nd one I ordered, but I sent the first one back thinking something was wrong with it. It really unnerved me. They both were brand new, not refurbished either. I was about to return this one too, but it turns out that once you sync it with your Google Nest doorbell and hit reset by pressing it on top of the chime right in the middle (it's not evident that there is even a reset button there ), it starts speaking in your own language; English for me. Very strange. Otherwise, it sounds really good. Now when someone rings my bell, I can actually hear it like a regular doorbell! If I have my phone in my hand I can still go to my Home app and see the person or even speak to them. I think the instructions should be made clearer about how to turn it up and down and how to reset it. The color doesn't matter unless it's going to be out in the open and you need to coordinate it with your decorations. I got charcoal grey, which looks really classy to me and which costs a little less than the white, which is fine with me. I'm all about saving money:)
