The powerful and convenient ionizer provides swimming pools with a better quality of water while eliminating the daily usage of harsh chemicals. The system chamber disperses natural minerals such as copper and silver into the water to improve clarity. These natural mineral levels can be easily maintained by adjusting the dial on the side of the unit. Simply set the dial to the necessary level and enjoy quality water treatment. Indicator lights notify you when the ionizer is operating properly and features a red light to tell you when the chamber needs to be replaced. Reducing the amount of chemicals your pool needs, the ionizer ensures you don't deal with itchy skin, faded swimsuits, or irritated eyes. Designed to treat up to 40,000 gallons of water, the ionizer easily installs by fitting to the return side of the filter in any direction. - Start Up For The Power Ionizer System
- Install on the return side of the filter in any direction. Without a flow switch, the system utilizes unique water flow vibration technology.
- Turn system control knob to 3 to start, making sure that the green "Active" light is on when the pump is running.
- During initial fill, add salt [typically 40-80lbs.] to achieve a 1,000 ppm reading of Total Dissolved Solids.
- Add entire bucket of Condition by broadcasting into pool.
- Use the test strips provided to balance pH, alkalinity, and copper.
- Water Testing For The Power Ionizer
- Alkalinity between 80-150 ppm.
- pH between 7.2-7.6 ppm.
- Calcium Hardness between 180-250 ppm.
- Test mineral level [copper] between .3-.6 ppm. TDS must be over 1,000 ppm *may take up to 3 days for initial level to get within ideal range
- Iron and other metals should be zero.

- Pour one pint of Cleanse [natural enzyme clarifier] per 10,000 gallons of water, directly into pool every other week.
- To winterize, remove the Power Ionizer unit and store it in a cool, dry place.
- The chamber needs to be replaced approximately once a season.

Low tox, easy upkeep
This has been a major game changer for my family in our above ground swimming pool. I am a minimalist and entering into my 'Crunchy Mom Era'. With the use of the ionizer we only have to put one chlorine tablet in a floating chlorine dispenser, and it lasts two weeks. It was tricky at first learning what levels and settings are best. Ever since we figured it out it is so simple. It runs, and we don't even have to think about it. The minimal we have to do to upkeep the pool is just vaccum and scoop out the occassional leaves and bugs. It is the BEST investment!

This is worth every penny we spent on it. we are not using any chemicals in our pool, and all is perfectly balanced. it took us a while to figure out which setting to use, but once it was done, all works like a charme. It might be helpful if the supplier can tel which setting to use for every size of pool. this will reduce a lot of headaches.

Easy to use and works as described. Manual is short but contains all you need to know. Main Acces - the manufacturer calls it an IONIZER. Other descriptions call it a chlorine generator. I added POOL SALT and let the ionizer got to work. You will need to have a way to measure the salt content in your pool. MAIN ACCESS recommends 1000 ppm for the salt in the pool. However it does not give a maximum ppm. I set the control at 3 and it seems to do the job. I have not had to add chlorine pills to the floater. Easy to install. I'm using it in an above ground pool of 2830 gallons.
