Key item features

"The Hee Haw Collection" - Pickin' and grinnin', singin' and spinnin' tall tales and corny jokes, the citizens of Kornfield Kounty landed on television in 1969 with the arrival of "Hee Haw" as a summer replacement series for "The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour." Each week co-hosts Buck Owens and Roy Clark and the cast of comedians and musicians would welcome the biggest starts in country music to perform their songs and help deliver the on-liners. Conceived as a rural alternative to Rowan & Martin's "Laugh-In," "Hee Haw" ranked in the top 20 nationwide when CBS dropped the show in 1971 in an attempt to "de-countrify" the network's programming. It was quickly picked up and became the longest-running weekly syndicated original series in television history. The last "new" episode aired in 1992. Looks like the non-network executives had the last hee-haw.

Featuring - Husband and wife Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter mean business with their performance of Colter's "I Ain't The One," the flip side of the pair's hit single "Suspicious Minds." Waylon and the Waylors give the "outlaw" treatment to "Good Hearted Woman" and "Me And Bobby McGee," while Jessi previews her biggest hit, "I'm Not Lisa." Also stopping by is baseball great Johnny Bench who joins in on the "Hee Haw" fun.
