Key item features

Unique blend of resin and oil provides a superior, natural finish for bare wood. Easy-to-apply stain slightly darkens wood when first applied, leaving a flat, translucent-toned finish, which weathers with time to a natural wood hue. For use on new or reconditioned exterior wood only, including decks, siding, fences, trim, shingles, shakes, and log homes. Clean brushes and equipment with soap and water. Covers approximately 250 to 350 Sq. Ft. (23 to 33 sq. m.) per gallon on smooth wood; approximately 100 to 200 Sq. Ft. (30 to 60 sq. m.) on rough wood. Available in ready-mixed colors. Do not tint. Deck stain

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been using Cabot stain for 10 years. The quality of their products are outstanding. I refuse to use any other brand.

Log Cabin and deck look great years later

I bought the Honey Teak in the Australian Timber Oil and it penetrated well into the logs. It is now 3 years later and it still looks fabulous. We did the brown treat deck as well in the same product. It has been 1.5 years and again it looks fabulous! The clean up with an oil is more difficult but it is with any oil based product. Buying Cabot in a solid for my home deck today and have no fears it will be the right product.

Can't beat Cabot 3000 on treated-pine decking

I used the "other" product that is heavily advertised and that has been around for years- water based - it is history in months. Cabot 3000 has lasted two full winters/summers of hot NC sun and wind borne salt moisture (300 feet from the salt water) and only now can use a re-do. I've read the complaints and they clearly did not follow their lumber provider's recommendation (and any carpenter or stain manufacturer): ALL lumber/plywood is saturated with moisture and must be left un-stained for minimum of 3 months - preferably 6 depending on month of installation and weather. And, I DO spray it to get coverage in between the planks - works fine.
