I have used a variety of brands and am very happy with these

When I opened the box I thought wow these are attractive then holding the grip I noticed how comfortable it felt in my hand. I chop and slice a lot, stews, soups, roasts,etc, and my hand doesn't get tired (no cramping, lol). The bread knife wors well and is just the right length, I have other longer bread knives and they are awkard, that being said I wished the Santoku was much larger, It works for cutting crossways (like carrots) but to short to cut lengthways (like cutting a big raw russet potato in 1/2 for twice baked.). The sharpener built into the block is a nice touch, and having it so accessible is a nice reminder to sharpen more often!

Premium Quality Knives for a Great Price!

This Kitchen Aid cutlery set is worth every penny! Made with German forged steel, these knives are sharp and built to last. I prefer these knives over Shun or Wusthof knives because it almost as sharp, more durable, and needs less maintenance. It's also more than half the cost and has a built in knife sharpener. If you need a solid cutlery set for your home that looks as good as it functions, this is it.

Love This Set

The first thing I used these for was to slice bread, I bake my own and it did a beautiful job, sliced all the way through and didn't crumble at all. The balance and weight are just perfect for all of them. I love the built in knife sharpener. They are dishwasher safe and so far have held up well and still look new. The fact that they look great on the counter doesn't hurt either!
