Excellent quality.

We have had this set for the past month and are very pleased with them. I make knives and know the material used is top quality. The sharpness remains even after lots of use. They are on the thinner side in the handle but help with indexing the blade and are still quite comfortable. The scissors are very nice as well and will cut through bone easily. The steak knives are serrated entirely and would prefer a straight blade for dinner but they are very sharp as well. Overall hard to beat and I am impressed [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Horrible

I got this knife set as a bridal shower gift back in June of this year. I was so excited as I love KitchenAid stuff. My husband and I are very disappointed in these knives. They dull very quickly, they have stains on the blades already and I have rust developing on one of the knives already. I do not use the dishwasher for these. I clean them after use and dry right away and put them back. Rust should not be developing at all. Water does not sit on them long enough to warrant that. I would spend your money on a different set if not a different brand for knives. Please note that the knife in the picture has been cleaned and that rust does not come off!!

    I have used a variety of brands and am very happy with these

    When I opened the box I thought wow these are attractive then holding the grip I noticed how comfortable it felt in my hand. I chop and slice a lot, stews, soups, roasts,etc, and my hand doesn't get tired (no cramping, lol). The bread knife wors well and is just the right length, I have other longer bread knives and they are awkard, that being said I wished the Santoku was much larger, It works for cutting crossways (like carrots) but to short to cut lengthways (like cutting a big raw russet potato in 1/2 for twice baked.). The sharpener built into the block is a nice touch, and having it so accessible is a nice reminder to sharpen more often!

    Perfect!

    Awesome set. Goes great with a white and stainless kitchen. Very pleased a year and a half later. No rust or defects. Just a bought another set for our daughter.
