Comfortable thermals

Bought these for my teenage son to wear as a base layer for snow skiing. The first day he wore them, they were perfect up to the point when he fell and cut his knee so badly that he had to go to the ER to get stitches, and the staff had to cut the thermals off of him. :-( I guess I need to order another pair.

Long legs so that they never ride up your shins. I wear size 38 short underwear but these XL Raschel pants (long underwear) fit my waist great, and I could see a person w/a 42 waist would be happy too! I bought one pair and then went and sent for four more!
