Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway Talking Spencer Train Engine

This train talks, and upon arrival it works as expected. The train is compatible with other magnetic, Thomas and non-Thomas the trains my son has, along with the standard wooden tracks. However, I purchased this as a gift, and since the recipient has not received it yet, I cannot comment on the durability. Also, I see where the price for this is now $35.00. I paid $12.07 for it. I would not hesitate to pay $12.00 for this again, but I cannot see myself paying $35.00 for it. It just seems a little too much for this item.
