Great for our cat

I actually got this with my cat in mind. He is getting older and having a hard time getting comfortable with all his arthritis issues, but just loves our memory foam bed. He can no longer jump very high, so he uses the antique trunk at the foot of the bed to get up. Unfortunately, he always digs his claws into the top when jumping up and it has been damaging the lid. After putting this rug over the trunk lid, there is now a barrier between the antique wood lid and his claws. It also looks pretty cool on top of the trunk, so it is a win-win for us. And because it is non-skid, it does not move when he jumps up, which was also an important factor. It has been working perfectly for this purpose and our cat has also enjoyed sleeping on the rug instead of the bed on occasion, so it must be pretty soft. It definitely feels very silky in my hands, has a nice thickness, and is quite supple so that it drapes over the trunk nicely. Definitely recommended.
