E-Z Knife wood inserts are a perfect solution for any application where assembly or disassembly could lead to thread erosion, stripping or other types of damage to the material. It’s designed for use in hardwoods like oak, cherry and maple, but also works well in softwood. Its threaded inserts use a proprietary external "knife" thread to slice into the wood to provide superior holding power. Installation can be done with a bolt/jam nut or optional drive tool. Some uses include, but are not limited to, drawer pulls, knock-down furniture, display cases, beer tap handles and outdoor furniture. E-Z Knife brass inserts for wood are versatile and can be used in both softwoods and hardwoods. Their unique knife-like external threads are designed to cut into the wood effectively, providing a secure hold irrespective of the wood's density.
