Design Toscano English Chippendale Armchair

The hand carving on these chairs is exquisite. Every time I look at them, I notice new details. The wood feels smooth and is beautifully finished. Reviews on some other chairs note that they're too narrow; these are not. The seats are well-stuffed and firm. They aren't fantastically comfortable, but I'm optimistic that will improve once they're broken in a bit. Be aware that, because the cushions are so tall, you'll fit differently under a thirty-inch table. My knees frequently bump the underside of the table. Also, the chairs sometimes slide as I sit down. I had to contact customer service because the upholstery has changed, so what I ordered and what I received were not the same. Customer service was wonderful to work with -- prompt and helpful and interested in making things right. Bottom line: If you need every-meal, every-day seating, you might want to pass on these. But if your objective is to create an elegant look bursting with one-of-a-kind artistry, you will probably be very pleased with these chairs.
