A successful commercial career in country music requires, first and foremost, good songs, enough of a voice and range to put those songs over, and lastly, a personality and image that holds all of that together with a natural smoothness, all of which perfectly describes Kellie Pickler. No one is going to accuse her of being Patsy Cline, but Pickler's small-town girl-next-door image has served her well since she finished sixth on the fifth season of American Idol, and consequently found an audience, in 2005.
