Just finished bypassing the ballast in four fixtures, using 8 bulbs. Work exactly as I had hoped and there is jug brightness and quiet now. 45 watt are plenty bright for our place with 10 foot ceilings.

These bulbs are well worth the cost. They are super bright with a color that is crisp and white. They were shipped in a hard cardboard box material so its no wonder they arrived in good shape. I would definitely recommend these. They sag a little in the center but that is an easy fix.
