I don't deny that this show was a little too quirky to survive as a spin-off of the X-Files, I think that if it had launched on it's own, on a more forgiving network, it might very well have lasted a long time. It's funny, smart, and well thought out. For the pilot episode alone it's worth the price of the set. Filmed a year before, and airing months previous to 9/11 it describes a government plot to incite people to war by, yes, it's true. crashing an airliner into the World Trade Center.
That said, the producers of this DVD release got weirder than the show when they chose to use double-Sided DVDs, instead of a double layer DVD and all shows on one side. So, you get to watch 2 episodes, take out the disk, flip it over, and watch two more. I might be ignorant, but I as this was a very short-lived format, I don't think there are any DVD players in the world with two-sided playing capability, so you'll have to do it manually. Odd choice, and one I was unhappy to discover after I got this item. So, just be aware of this quirky detail before buying.
