This is a real tearless shampoo and if your doggo has allergies like mine does and gets sticky around his tear ducts, this is really gentle and keeps the area clean. Because of his Dameranian hybrid breed, he has sensitive skin too, but the shampoo seems to work fine. A little of the clear, tear-free shampoo covered his body. I worked it around his eyes and muzzle, where he had a lot of fur, and he didn't seem to mind. This shampoo is safe for delicate paw pads, so I worked it into those areas too, and he didn't seem to respond to it any differently. The scent was fresh and pleasant without being overwhelming. He didn't mind the scent of the shampoo and, in fact, seemed to enjoy sneaking various sniffs of the shampoo bottle as my husband and I washed him. I liked this tear-free shampoo because it felt like my dog was more comfortable while we used it on his fur. It did a great job of washing his fur while keeping his skin free of irritants; I could really tell that it was gentle on his skin because he did not have any adverse reactions. I also feel secure using this shampoo as the John Paul Pet brand keeps our pet's safety as a priority. When I read on the bottle that they tested it on human's first I thought to myself this is really a sincere brand that cares deeply about our pets! So, I know this shampoo is safe and a healthy choice for my doggo. It transformed his super coarse fur into a clean, shiny, and remarkably silky coat on the first use. It does a great job with cleaning his fur while keeping his skin free of irritants. My dog and I are super happy with it!
