This was an excellent book for learning how to cut. My 4 year old started the book with my assistance and by the time she came to the middle and the end of the book she was cutting on her own without my assistance. I hadn't taught her to cut at an earlier age due to her sister who was younger and didn't want scissors to become an issue. These books are great for starting out simple and increasing the challenge slightly on each page. Now I am going to buy the next book where she now can work on cutting and pasting projects on her own.
