It is very soft, and huge. i got it for a five year old, and she loves it. The problem is that it has a tear in it, after a few washes. I am torn about this, because I am not sure if it's so due to poor quality stitching, or is my washing machine too small. I did purchase another comforter similar to this one; it is huge, yet didn't tear .
