VERY BRIGHT AND SURPRISINGLY HEAVY (IN A GOOD WAY)
I just bought this today and i am in love with it. Its super bright from six LED's and that's good enough for me. The lamp has a nice weight to it and it feels very well constructed. The switch is on the lamp head which is a plus because i did not want to have to reach for a switch on the cord. i keep the lamp behind my monitor and have the head stick out from the back on the side to save extra space (the lamp is small to begin with but i have a very small desk and need every inch of space. I would post the photo i took of it on my desk but my camera is not the best. (Looks like im getting a camera next!).
Very Impressed !
I never thought these would be so impressive. Picked up one today, and was immediately impressed with the heavy-weighted base - not going to tip over easily at all. The LED itself is both bright and only barely warm to the touch, meaning that I don't have to worry about burning myself if I get close to it. While putting the power switch in the lamp head is a bit odd, it is a solid clicky pushbutton switch. Personally I would have preferred a base rocker switch, but I'm not complaining. This lamp is very powerful for the 12V @ 280mah that the wall wart provides - which translates to 120V @ 0.280mah, which is about 1/4 of a watt per hour. In other words, THIS THING USES NEXT TO NO ELECTRICITY. One could buy several of these, and not run up the electric bill at all !!! The black color matches my computer and monitor, and fits my home office perfectly. I'm very tempted to buy a few more to keep around the house.
