Honestly, this is a lifesaver when it comes to preparing items of a japanese variety without having to go thru the trouble of preparing rice the traditional way. Wanted to use a substitute to save some time making some sushi and this product came in clutch for that specific need. It's very much similar to traditional sticky rice other than it sticky factor is possible 1/2 of traditional japanese stickey rice, nevertheless it was useful for my needs
