New batteries die when not in use

I am having trouble with my light the brand-new batteries die within 1 hour with the light shut off? I have tried 3 times to add a photo but when I do this page disappears. I have made a warranty claim a while ago but have yet to hear anything from Coast.

Great little flashlight

Love this bright light, it's small but very bright, this light also fits into the rail mount coast sells. Great lightweight flashlight for going hunting, either mount it on your gun or it fits nicely in any oack
