The door has a plastic hinge strip, so plan to replace with a real hinge strip. Also there is a 1" gap inbetween the door and wall. The door stop goes 2" out into the opening so choldren could get hurt. When I notified the company they said the gap is so children don't pinch their fingers. But the trip issue meets safety standards. Told I can remove it if I wish. Then of course with a plastic hinge and no door stop, well it won't last long.

It is a great little house our greatgranddauther love it. It was fairly easy to assemble, but need to pay close attention to direction. The views have to be looked at very closely as to where you are positioned. Look at the left and right and front on the illustrations. Also it can be assemble buy one person, but it would have been easier with two.

We bought this playhouse for our 2 year old. She absolutely loves it and the smaller size is just perfect. It seems to be the exact same size as the plastic playhouses of comparable price. This little house is pretty sturdy on a flat surface. My husband was able to assemble the house with relative ease, but he did have to glue some of the boards in addition to screws. The cedar is light weight and exposed on our deck it may not hold up in a severe thunderstorm, but I love that it fits with our table so our little one can play!
