Wore Rocky boots for years, and for most applications, I wasn't disappointed. My biggest complaint was how big the boot was. I don't mean that it fit too big, that can be fixed by going to a different size. They were just big, like a version of of clown shoes A few years back, I took a job at the landfill. Nothing will test out a pair of boots like the landfill. Especially in a constant freeze-thaw wet environment, where the "wet" could be literally anything. Seen these boots on sale a few weeks back. I figured if nothing else, for that price, I could wear them around the house shoveling snow and so forth. When they came in, I had to try them on immediately. Certain features that have always remained the same with Rocky, very comfortable right out of the box, with an aggressive sole. But for a boot with 800 grams of insulation, they didn't fit like clown shoes. They looked good! So I wore them to run the snowblower outside for a couple hours. Didn't even pretreat them what's silicone like I normally do with a pair of new boots. As the snow melted, the water beaded up nicely, not staining the leather. I've been wearing these boots to work everyday since. Tromping around in a cocktail of refuse that would make a hungry billy goat wretch. I love these boots. My only disappointment, is that spring is coming, and I'll have to put these boots on a Shelf until it gets cold again. Rocky has definitely stepped up their game!
