Rocky Men's 16" ProLight 1570 Snakeproof Hunting Boot

I have had these snake boots for a few years now and to say they hold up well, would be an understatement. Where I like there are thick saw palmetto bushes, briars and let's not forget the snakes, all of which claw away at the materials and laces of whatever you are wearing, it is a tough environment and these boots have met the challenge and held up well. I wear long soccer type socks when I wears these so my legs do not get chafed...they do seem to run large I guess in case you want to wear thicker socks, so that is something to keep in mind. Also, I have come to appreciate using a cushioned insole for comfort if they are going to be worn for a long period. Be aware though, if you are wearing these for any length of time they will get HOT... extra socks are not a bad idea and as much as they keep the water out....they will also keep the sweat in so plan ahead. Realize too they a bit heavy, of course they are heavy, these are tall boots made with premium materials....but that is something to think about if you are planning on running around in the woods all day. I had started off with a less expensive pair at first which quickly failed, then I get these instead and let me tell you they have far exceeded my expectations.

Our first pairs of snake boots ever and they are very impressive. Tall and comfortable to wear. When trying it on for the first time they were very firm, but break in with use. They lace up tight. The problem if there is one, is that it can be difficult to unlace after a long day.
