First Alert Bark Genie Automatic Ultrasonic Bark Control Device with Battery, Black

I have 3 border collies. I crate them for a couple hours while I get my morning work done. The youngest one always barks when he hears the vacuum cleaner get to the last room. I have used other things like bark collars which work, but after a few times he won't get into his crate if he has it on. I gave up getting after him because it meant running up and down the basement stairs to shut him up otherwise. And, if you can't be consistent, give it up. I decided to give the bark genie a try. I set it on medium and set in on a shelf in my dog room and always leave it on (everyone else in my family would forget to turn it on anyway). The first day he barked once and hasn't barked since. After he is completely trained not to bark in his crate, I'm going to hang it inside on my front door. They all bark when someone rings the doorbell. Then I'll try hanging it on my fence so that they will stop barking at the neighbors dog when he is out. I would certainly recommend trying this.
