An excellent drive compatible with Makemkv
It's getting increasingly hard to find internal bluray drives that are high speed and work out of the box with makemkv. This is one of the few such drives. The drive itself is made by LG and sold by ASUS. It works fast, ripping blurays at over 7x speed most of the time. The drive is not very noisy and it feels sturdy. You can use it as an external drive with a (powered) SATA to USB adapter. While it reads regular Blu-ray disks out of the box, the firmware can be updated to read 4K disks. Overall, an excellent drive still selling at a decent price.
