Well, so far so great! For such a compact,simple unit this little record player has been terrific. First, I like the fact that it has its own internal speakers so it can be used independent of the computer or external speakers. The sound quality is just fine by usaas we really just wanted something on which we could play our hundreds of old albums. (It can be connected to external speakers ). Second, it's use of Audacity as the software through which to play /record music into other formats (such as MP3 or put over to iTunes ) is really simple! Third,the price was right for our low budget needs. Now, as this is a recent purchases,I can't vouch for the long term durability of the unit. I'm thinking we had better not try turning it up too high for too long. For now. ..it's been a lot of fun and the kids are getting exposed to what real music really sounds like! :)

I bought this item as a Christmas gift for my husband. It was easy to use and set up. It is compact and easy to store. The vintage look allows it to blend in with the decor of our house and doesn't look out of place. The exterior is excellent quality, as is the sound. Our family was able to enjoy records that were over 40 years old. They played without any problems and the speakers were quite good. We haven't used the other electronic features, but consider them a bonus to the turntable itself. We ended up buying a second one because another family member loved it so much.
