BOSMERE Bosmere Poly Tunnel

The picture in the Gardener's Supply online catalog doesn't do this item justice. I just installed six of these over rows of emerging strawberries (central Vermont) at the advice of a friend who has had greater success than me growing strawberries. He recommended row covers, and this item is just the perfect size! I am using these on raised row beds. The plastic is a sturdy weight, and it "molds" in place where you push it. The stems are a good length, not too long or short, and can be pushed into the soil to make a snug fit along the surface of the garden bed. They are easy to pull up and push out of place when you need to access the plantings. Since I only installed them today I can't yet verify the wind resistance or how many years they will hold up. But, after an hour or so I slipped my hand under one of the covers and the atmosphere inside was warming up nicely! I will remove them when I see the first strawberry flowers develop in accordance with the Nourse Farms instruction booklet. The length of the polytube is generous. Also, they collapse into tidy bundles for storage. Good luck!

I received two of these row covers and they seem to be nice and sturdy. I haven't used them long enough to say if they are long lasting but I think they are going to work just fine to keep me in greens for a while this fall/winter.
