They do not go over the knees however depending on the height of the individual they can fit just right at the top of the knee cap. Perfect for all summer activities. When wet they do dry fairly quickly than other shorts on the market. They also consist of the same pockets as would the pants. Keep in mind the cargo pockets will be a little snug being they are shorts. I am very satisfied with Propper all together as a whole.
