Reading Wright

This book is an amazing adventure through the New Testament - guided by a truly gifted scholar. Bishop Tom's cunning wit and excellent scholarship make this very long but very important book a genuine treasure for NT studies. If Wal-Mart's price is still the best (the $.97 shipping really helps), then you cannot go wrong in making the purchase. You will need many hours to absorb this text, however. It is, as NT Wright puts it, a sort of "clearing of the ground," which means it also requires a sort of "clearing of your mind." But, you'll be glad you did, and you will never read the New Testament the same way again if you will track with Bishop Tom's arguments and employ his method. I highly recommend the effort that it will take.
