No instructions and not "springy"

I have a small aluminum frame missing many of its clips and I looked EVERYWHERE on the internet for the same clip... nothing. These looked like they might work, but they don't. They aren't "spring" clips as the description states, and I don't even know how to use them without a photo or instructions. I don't know what to do with these. This was the best price I could find, and they were about 50 cents each. That seems sort of ridiculous for a small metal piece of bent metal.
