I like that they are pellets and not granular, unless the granulars are small. I works well on snow and ice. I use it first to pretreat my sidewalks and parking area. Then, after the storm, I will shovel or snow-blow the area and treat it again so I don't get a refreeze.

I Appreciate it comes in 20 lb bags so it's easier to handle and stack. I have vinyl decking and this doesn't leave the white Salt residue on surfaces it after it melts like normal rock salt does . It's lighter to spread by hand in one of those containers I transfer it into. I Works incredibly fast on ICE left over from melted snow that's on concrete, wood or vinyl. really not needed for light snow, but if it's a heavy wet snow coming, I sprinkle it around before it hits. Keeps the wet snow from turning into ice and makes for easier shoveling. We have Deer, Squirrels, Birds, Raccoons ,Rabbits, Skunks around the property and I'm happy it's "paw" friendly. Bought it at a great price too.
