it luggage 22" GT Lite Ultra Lightweight Softside Carry-on Luggage, Black

First of all, I have to say honestly I do not use this luggage as most people do, but as a "briefcase" of sorts for my court reporting equipment, which is a ton of stuff, including laptop, digital recorders, chill pad, backup recorders, speakers, all the attendant cords and accessories, plus a lot of paperwork, a big ol' notebook, case log, even lunch! About two months ago my last spinner case handle broke (I overworked it to death) and the case itself was just plain old, so it was time for it to go bye-bye. However, I have had a terrible time trying to replace it. I couldn't find that model anywhere, and I have actually bought two others since then, neither of which I am happy with. The first was just too small (I didn't read the measurements right), and the second one opened on the side, which I thought I might like and didn't. Okay, so now I'm really desperate and have shown up in court with papers flying out of my oversized purse because I have nowhere else to put them. I got this Ultra Lightweight Spinner, and while it's bigger than my original spinner case, I love it even more than the original! Not just because of the size, either. The main two reasons I love it more are the handle and the wheels. Yes, the handle is NOT broken on this one, but not only that; it also is SO cushioned and soft and doesn't scratch me like my old one! Hey, that's important if you spend every day lugging one of these to work! And the wheels on this? Wonderful! They really do glide! Effortless. Love them. You do not hear me coming from the other end of the hallway like before, and I do not have to tug and tug to get the case to maneuver out from under my desk in the courtroom. I can't tell you how happy that makes me! The inside itself is plenty roomy, and translated to traveling for normal people (I realize some people may use this for traveling -LOL- even me) it seems very roomy and will fit lots of clothes, even enough room for my husband's enormous shoes. My laptop, the widest thing I have to carry, fits with room left over, which is great. Also like that there is a zippered compartment inside with elastic compartment on top of that. The last feature I will mention that is an added bonus is the padded outside front cover. Nice to know that whatever you put in the zippered front compartment has that added protective padding, and it adds yet another layer of protection to my digital equipment inside the case itself. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this case, and I'm thinking of getting another for backup just in case something happens to this one!

This is a really nice suitcase! Unfortunately, the trip for which I bought it got canceled, so I never got to try it in action. It is a soft-shelled fabric suitcase. The light weight should make it great for flights, if you don't have items that need the protection of a harder-shelled suitcase. It has a good warranty, too. This suitcase is extremely lightweight: Empty, it can be lifted with one finger (see picture). It feels like nothing (the tag says 5.5 lbs). It also seems to be very well made: The frame is strong but very flexible when pushed upon. The material is a strong polyester and it seems to be run proof. I pulled and pulled multiple times, as hard as I could, and the material did not pull around the stitching or zippers. Zippers glided easily and appeared to be good quality. There is a zip-up compartment on the front of the case. The material seems to be very durable and cleaned easily with a damp cloth. The interior is very roomy. It does not expand, but I think someone could easily pack at least week's worth of clothes in it. Again, I pulled on the fabric, but didn't notice any pulling or tearing around seams, pockets, or straps. It had a large net pocket and three roomy shoe/slipper pockets on the inside of the lid. The main compartment had straps for keeping clothes in place, but there were no pockets along the edges, which would have been nice. The handle moved up and down easily, and seemed pretty sturdy. Wheeling it around, I found it to be extremely maneuverable. Much more so than other rolling suitcases.
