Tough to replace correctly

I had a lot of trouble replacing this part; however, after two hours of taking the broken piece apart and installing the new one, the ice maker works properly again - woo hoo!

Not OEM

No it was not an OEM part despite your picture showed a GE box which my item did not come in. Had to machine the part to existing specs to make it work...

Design Flaw for this ice maker

After a couple or years the flange of the auger starts breaking off in pieces - which you find in your glass, and cube dispensing becomes sporadic. I replaced the original auger twice (what a headache that is!) Then replaced the whole tray and auger, and now that auger is fragmenting. Pretty expensive maintenance.
