Amazing product!

Incredible invention! These silicone egg poacher cups are so simple to use, and the results are perfect! I've been making poached eggs for over 50 years, and it was never this easy. I would highly recommend this seller because the egg cups are exactly as advertised.

Handy egg cups

I got these because I'm on an poached egg kick (don't know how long that will last). The egg poacher I was using - small pan with an insert that has indentions to crack the eggs in then cook. This worked well, had the time and temp worked out but the insert the eggs cooked in was quite difficult to clean. Yes I used a cooking spray. So, I thought I'd use cupcake wrappers (the heavier ones with an outside that was silver). I sprayed them also and it worked. I thought it would be better if I had something I didn't have to throw away and silicone egg cups came to mind. I found these on Walmart.com, ordered them and they showed up fairly quickly. I washed them and tried them out. Not being a smart man...I thought I could float them in water and cook the eggs that way. I suppose IF I had the water temperature lower it might work but instead it looked like I was making egg drop soup. Next thing was to do them in a shallower pan with less water. It worked pretty well. For some reason, I wanted to use a pot. So I did. This time, I put water in the pot then put a steamer basket in it and the eggs in the silicone cups went into the steamer basket. This proved to be a good idea. Just too many moving part if you will. I'll stick to the shallow pan with less water. I have not tried them in the microwave yet. Clean up with this is a breese. I still give them a squirt of cooking spray and the eggs come right out with ease. When I wash them, I just use hot soapy water and a sponge (because I have a sponge right now but a dish rag would also work). Give them a rinse and done. I have put them in the dishwasher. I put them in the top rack of course. I don't run my dishwasher that often, maybe once a week, so I usually hand wash them. The dishwasher method works well also. Storing them takes little to no room in a kitchen gadget drawer. I stack them together and they get put away. I do recommend these so get some and poach some incredible edible eggs!

I've used these a couple of times and yes I would recommend them but I would also suggest- if using for poached eggs to spray the inside with oil first so they slide out easier.
