a similar chair was recommended to me by an interior designer and that chair was over $700. I did a Google search and found this chair on clearance for $89! the beige is a true base. the dark wood is a dark warm Brown. this was very easy to put together, there was only two things that really needed to be put together which was the seat and the back each of which had the same kind of bolts and was easy to put together. I put get together in less than a half hour. I was worried about the height of this chair from the ground because often with cheaper chairs, the chairs that loaded the ground, not this one, this sits a perfect height off the ground. I love the combination of wood and black metal frame, very sleek and modern and can go with any decor. the space from the seat to the ground is about 16 in so you will not feel like you're sitting on the ground. the cushion is thick and durable. the back pillow isn't as fluffy as I would like it to be but I would imagine it's going to get bigger once it settles from being in the shrink wrap. the cushion is about 4 in thick and then it sits on top of a 2 inch base. regardless of your color palette, this chair will go with it. the wood was a little nicked when I got it but it was perfectly packaged. I didn't return it because the Knicks were so small and I just wanted the chair. All of the fabric has a zipper- so you can take the covers off ot switch them out!
