Saved My Tropicals

I bought two of these shades early in the season to provide partial shade to some newly planted tropicals. I now have banana plants over 7 feet tall in just 3 months!! They would have withered and burned in the desert heat were it not for the sails. They went up easily the first attempt and with all the included hardware for attaching, I didn't need to venture near a hardware store. This was the second sail purchase to fill in some gaps where the sun came through - it would always be nice if they were bigger, but they are the stated size.

I had sun coming in the door and window from the east in the morning, heating up that side of the house, and this solved that problem. This works well since it is in a corner. I would recommend it. It doesn't keep out rain, but it does provide shade.
