NEW ROCKFORD FOSGATE P2D2-15 15" 800 Watt 2-Ohm Punch Series Car Audio Subwoofer

VMInnovations has the P215 for an excellent price so I purchased 2 of them. I wired each one to 4 ohms and put them in their own separate ported enclosure to go in the xtracab of my 04 Tacoma. I can barely get each one in the back of my truck witrhout removing my seat which is a hassle because I like to switch out my subs ever other day. I'm sure that most people do not do that so it wouldn' tbe a big deal but for me its annoying. As far as the sub goes, I am powering these by one Kicker CXA1200.1 at 2 ohms so each sub is getting around 600 watts RMS. They sound fantastic, especially for the price. For around 130 a sub you cannot beat these. They can handle the low notes with ease and really shine around 50hz..due to the enclosure I have them in. I have 2 P3 12's that I prefer over these but it's not really fair or correct to compare a P2 to a P3 anyway. These are loud and accurate and sound great with all kinds of music. I can compare these to a pair of Kicker CVR15's that I had and they are very similar but the Fosgates sound slightly better in my opinion and are less expensive. I have powered these 15's with as much as 750 watts RMS a piece and as long as you steer clear of the bass boost and use a subsonic filter when they are ported, they handle that wattage perfectly. I highly recommend the P215's and VMInnovations.
