Keeps the dog out
At first I was like many others who had difficulty keeping the lids closed - one day it 'dawned' on me that after repeatedly pushing the open lid 'button', it would stretch and bend down slightly, just enough so the lid would start to pop open....I pushed up front underneath slightly, and wala!! it works again. I've had my trash bin for over 3 years and think it is the best one I have ever owned. And the best part for me, if my dog can no longer get into the trash!

I don't like the fact that the lid doesn't work well but, other than that I like it. Just don't want to go through taking it back etc. I think for the price it should be more durable and work much better than it does
