Hyper Tough 2.5-Amp Corded Orbital Sander, AQ20020G

The Hyper Tough 2.5 Amp Random Orbit Sander Is a good little piece of equipment to have in your workshop, in my opinion, for mainly small projects. It is great for finishing an item easily without having to really put your back into it. the stickback sanding disc are very handy, although you do have to purchase a specific type of disk for this machine. I especially like the sawdust catcher bag, which keeps me from having to sweep and vacuum so often.

This sander is much, much better than the “yellow” sander that costs double. I have never been certain what those little “dust collectors” the size of a pop can are supposed to do exactly but I've never seen any of them actually collect dust. The adapter for connecting to the shop vacuum works wonderfully. The Velcro fastener for the sanding discs is deep and aggressive and I have had zero problems with the sanding discs becoming detached. One tip to pass along is to not apply too much pressure when sanding. The faster the orbital sander moves the more sanding is accomplished. This sander beat the expensive sander in every area I could think of to test. Avoid the yellow one and get red!
