Key item features

  • Winter Performance: The Accelera X-Grip is a touring winter tire designed for passenger vehicles, featuring a winter compound and directional tread pattern for enhanced traction in cold conditions.
  • Enhanced Grip: High-density siping and durable winter rubber elements increase biting edges and maintain flexibility across various temperatures, improving grip on icy and snowy surfaces.
  • Hydroplaning Resistance: Wide circumferential and angled lateral grooves efficiently channel water and slush away from the tire's footprint, significantly reducing the risk of hydroplaning.
  • Improved Controllability: A directional tread pattern and flat footprint enhance steering responsiveness, driving stability, and overall maneuvering, ensuring precise control.
  • Studdable Design: The tread pattern is pinned for studs, allowing for additional ice and snow grip to be added for extreme winter conditions.
  • Fuel Efficient: A lighter internal construction minimizes rolling resistance, leading to reduced fuel consumption and lower CO2 emissions for an environmentally friendly drive.

Great for the price.

I got these on rollback for around $230 for all four of them. I didn't have high expectations because of that. But so far they ride great and they're super quiet! Especially because I was getting quotes everywhere else for almost $150 per tire. Anyway, super happy with them so far.

Great in snow for small price

I just picked up a backup car and needed to get all the tires replaced on it. I live in Michigan where we can get a lot of snow, so I decided to get "cheap" snow tires I can just run all year. I saw these and just had to have them. The tread is excellent. In the short time I've had them, I've used them on the highway, in the rain, and in the snow, and they perform well in all situations. Our first snow had a lot of packed snow on the roads making them pretty icy, and these tires had no troubles on them. They are not as good as the high end snow tires, but much better than some I've had. These are great on dry pavement and in the rain, and really good in snow and on icy surfaces. They grip well or stopping, starting, and turning. If they do break loose, it's predictable and gentle. I also learned Accelera is a much more well known name in the UK than the US, so these are not the "no name" tires I thought they were. They just aren't common in the US. . . yet. As good as these are, I wouldn't be surprised if that changed though. Very happy with them and would definitely get them again.
